The frightened witness recounted: I saw Lil Durk, he was holding a gun, then slowly walked deeper into the victim’s residence, then crawled under the car and opened fire the first time but missed, the second time hit
Lil Durk has been arrested over his alleged role in a murder plot against Quando Rondo to avenge the death of King Von.
The Chicago rapper (real name Durk Banks) was arrested on Thursday (October 24) in Broward County, Florida on a charge of murder for hire, according to police records.
Five other men, alleged to be members of Durk’s OTF (Only the Family) collective, have also been arrested on charges of murder for hire and murder for hire conspiracy in connection with the 2022 killing of Quando’s cousin Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson.
Durk is currently being held without bond at Broward County Jail and is awaiting transfer into the custody of U.S. Marshals.
Neither he nor his team have yet to comment on the arrest.
The newly-unsealed indictment, filed in the U.S. Central Distict Court of California, charges five men with Robinson’s death: Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey and Asa Houston.
They are accused of attempting to murder Quanda Rondo in Los Angeles in August 2022 but killing the rapper’s cousin, who was with him at the time, instead.
The group carried out orders from and relied on the resources of OTF, according to prosecutors, with flights and rental cars paid for with a credit card associated with the label.
While Lil Durk isn’t mentioned by name in the indictment, it claims that an unnamed co-conspirator offered “money and lucrative music opportunities” to anyone who would take part in killing Quando Rondo.
Quando was with Lul Pab at a gas station in Beverly Hills when they were shot at. The Georgia rapper escaped unscathed but his cousin was fatally wounded.
It is believed that the attempted hit on Rondo was in retaliation for the death of OTF rapper King Von, who was shot and killed during a scuffle with Rondo and his crew in Atlanta in 2020.

Von’s murder also sparked a years-long beef between Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy, whose Never Broke Again label counts Rondo among its artists.
Durk’s arrest comes shortly after he was accused of being involved in the murder of fellow Chicago rapper FBG Duck.
A wrongful death lawsuit filed by Duck’s mother earlier this month claims that Durk and King Von placed the $100,000 bounty on Duck’s life amid an intense rivalry between their respective factions.
“Lil Durk…engag[ed] in, plann[ed], approv[ed] the bounty on FBG Duck’s life and condon[ed] the acts of violence King Von engaged when he knew or should have known of the violent conduct, and violent histories of King Von and other known gang members he affiliated [with],” the suit reads.
“Lil Durk knew long before 2020 that King Von had a vendetta against FBG Duck, sought to rob and kill in the music industry, and consistently sought to build a brand of violence and reality rap based on committing real acts of violence on FBG Duck and the public at large.”
FBG Duck was shot and killed in broad daylight in 2020. Six men were convicted of his murder earlier this year.
