The last time we saw her she was wearing a purple crop top and flaunting her mummy tummy in some unflattering pap shots taken in a park.

But now former CBB winner Chantelle Houghton looks like a different woman.

The vegetarian reality star, who admitted gorging on McDonald’s breakfasts and jalfrezi dinners, has started her mission to battle the bludge – and she’s already looking great.

The mum-of-one told New Magazine: “I haven’t been keen to lose weight until now. And it hasn’t bothered me if I wanted to have a takeaway.

“But now I want to be healthy for my sake, and also for Dolly’s. I absolutely hate my stomach and wobbly thighs.

“It’s hard to believe I used to be a size 8. Now I’m a size 16.”

But we have a feeling the brunette model won’t be a size 16 for much longer.

She admitted: “I was able to eat relatively healthily on Christmas Dat and I managed to steer clear of the chocolates, too!” she said.

“Now I’ve lost a bit of weight, it’s helping me keep up the momentum.”

As well as losing weight, the reality star has made having more spray tans her New Year’s resolution. The single mum believes she’s let her appearance “slide” since having her daughter Dolly 18 months ago, and has vowed that she’ll take better care of herself next year.

Asked about her New Year’s resolutions, she said: “To be more organised about myself, to have a blow-dry once a week and to do my fake tan once a week.

“I feel like I’ve let my appearance slide because all my attention has been on Dolly.”

Chantelle – who was previously married to Ordinary Boys singer Preston – admits she would like to get married again in the future, but looking for love isn’t a priority for 2014.

She explained: “I’m really happy on my own at the moment. If I meet someone, I meet someone. I’m not desperate.

“I’d love to get married again, 100 per cent and have more kids. I wanted me and Preston to last forever, but stuff happened and we were too young.”

Just last month Chantelle,  who recently went on an epic Twitter rant after supermarket staff made her cry , said she wouldn’t mind soap hunk Jamie Lomas as a Christmas present.

Kym Marsh may have only just  filed for divorce from husband Jamie Lomas in October  but it seems her ex has already got an admirer.

Unlucky in love Chantelle, 30, had brief romances with builder Neal Fox and banker Nick Hogg this year after her split from cross dressing cage fighter Alex Reid but she says she’s now ready to settle down with the perfect man again.

And when asked who’s caught her eye recently, she told new! magazine: “I really fancy Jamie Lomas… I’ve fancied him forever. Make it happen! Dear Santa…”
