Monica Lewinsky recently spoke out about being sexually assaulted by former President Bill Clinton

The film Impeachment: American Crime Story revolves around Monica Lewinsky’s sex scandal with former President Bill Clinton in the mid-1990s and will be aired on FX on September 7.

Monica Lewinsky (48 years old), who is the producer of the film, opened up about herself and shared some of her life philosophies in Vanity Fair published  on August 12. When asked about her “greatest fear”, Monica Lewinsky replied: “It is a somersault between a cobra crawling on me”. When asked about her “greatest regret”, she replied: “It is my choice to make others suffer”.

Monica Lewinsky was a White House intern when her affair with former President Bill Clinton, now 75, began in 1995. Their relationship came to light three years after an investigation into President Bill Clinton’s affair with Paula Jones, then Governor of Arkansas, sparked a scandal that rocked the United States.

Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives in December 1998 on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice for his efforts to cover up his affair with Monica Lewinsky. The Senate voted in February 1999 to acquit him and allow him to serve out the remainder of his second term.

After a period of being out of the spotlight, Monica Lewinsky became an advocate for the anti-bullying movement and launched the #DefyTheName campaign in 2018.

Monica Lewinsky recalled her troubled life during and after the sex scandal in the 2018 documentary series The Clinton Affair. She later wrote in an article for Vanity Fair that participating in the documentary forced her to “admit to myself past behaviors that I still regret and feel ashamed of.”

Season 3 of the series Impeachment: American Crime Story revolves around the love scandal of Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton, starring Beanie Feldstein (Monica Lewinsky), Clive Owen (Bill Clinton), Edie Falco (Hillary Clinton), Sarah Paulson (Linda Tripp), Annaleigh Ashford (Paula Jones)… The film is invested in, distributed by 20th Television and FX Productions and will be shown on FX channel on September 7.
