The nation was gripped in 2019 when the case went all the way to the High Court after Coleen turned detective to see who had been selling stories on her to The Sun newspaper. After planting fake information on her Instagram stories but limiting who could see them, Coleen publicly revealed it was Rebekah.

Rebekah, who is married to footballer Jamie Vardy, furiously denied she had been leaking the information and sued Coleen for libel – but in the end a judge ruled in Coleen’s favour.

Speaking out since the high-profile trial, Coleen has described her one-time friendship with Rebekah as “unnatural” and said she “can tell” when someone is “trying to force a friendship because of your status”. And she said “evil” texts read out in court calling Coleen a ‘c***’ and saying she “deserved everything she gets” made her feel sick to her stomach.

Although Coleen admitted she is a “forgive and forget person”, she said the situation with Rebekah is “totally different”. And Coleen is not the only WAG to have fallen out with the 42-year-old mum-of-five.

Victoria Beckham

Rebekah’s ex, footballer Luke Forster, is said to have branded her a ‘Victoria Beckham wannabe’ when they were together.

But though she aspired to follow in Vic’s WAG footsteps, she is apparently not a fan of Posh Spice and has publicly slammed her in the past for using her kids to promote ‘Brand Beckham’.

Speaking in December 2016 when it emerged that Cruz Beckham was releasing a Christmas single, Rebekah wrote in her OK! column: “I don’t agree with allowing their 11 year old son Cruz to have an Instagram and Twitter account. I know he’s releasing a charity single, but it just encourages trolls.”

“Their eldest son Brooklyn is releasing a book, too,” she continued. “There’s no chance of Brand Beckham dying!” There was no response from Victoria’s camp.

Forster, 39, who is the father to Rebekah’s 14-year-old son, received a three-year prison sentence earlier this year after admitting growing cannabis – which is said to have left her “furious”.

Annie Kilner

Rebekah could find herself at the centre of a WAG war again after it was claimed to the Mirror that she was the mysterious friend engaged in a text exchange with Kyle Walker’s wife Annie Kilner.

During the exchange, Annie is said to have sent a message saying she “wanted Lauryn Goodman dead” after she had an affair with her husband and had two children with him. Kyle also shares four children Kilner, to whom he is still married.

Now a source within the WAG circle has told the Mirror that the messages were from a time when Rebekah and Annie “trusted each other” and that Rebekah was similarly “extremely critical of Lauryn”. They added the private conversation was not malicious and never intended anyone to see them.

The source said: “These messages were from a time when they were friends and trusted each other with private thoughts. Both women were extremely critical of Lauryn having just found out she had gone back with Kyle for a second time knowing that he had married Annie.

“Annie and Becky were having a private conversation, with no intent or malice, which became heated in their disgust at what Lauryn had done and her determination to play the situation out in the media. Becky later turned alliances and appears to have shared Annie’s messages.

“I’m sure you can imagine how angry Annie was and she never intended for Lauryn, let alone the world, to see those messages and absolutely meant nothing by them. She was simply venting to a friend. She has categorically not done anything to cause damage to Lauryn.” The Mirror has reached out to Rebekah Vardy’s reps for comment.

It’s a world away from the days the WAGs used to be close friends. A feud between the pair after Jamie Vardy’s wife branded Annie a “doormat” after Kyle was accused of cheating on her with a woman in a bar in 2023. Annie was said to have been annoyed at Rebekah and seemed to allude to her in a cryptic post as she broke her silence on the marriage drama. It read: “I think it’s important to remember that no matter how good you are to people, it won’t make them good to you.”

In a big twist in the tale, Rebekah is now said to be teaming up with Lauryn – while Annie is thought to be seeking advice from Coleen Rooney.

Sources say Coleen spotted Becky ‘sticking up’ for Lauryn on social media after the mum-of-two’s courtroom loss. It’s thought Coleen is helping Annie ‘build a case’ against Lauryn after her constant social media campaigns.

As for Rebekah, she’s reportedly formed a friendship with Lauryn. A source said: “They’ve just become really solid mates. Lauryn has been asking Becky for recommendations about where she might go on holiday, and has been complimenting Becky for how amazing she looks.”
